Survey Management Solutions (SMS) seeks enthusiastic surveyors to join a growing team delivering civil construction and land development projects across the east coast of Australia. The role focuses on setouts, data capture, feature and level surveys, GPS equipment setup, and basic site computations with modern survey gear.

Applicants should have relevant qualifications in Survey/Spatial science, plus experience with Total Stations, GPS, and machine guidance.

We ensure your project data is consistent, accurate and we offer comprehensive underground utility identification backed by industry leading survey methodology to suit every project requirement, from small utility investigation jobs to major infrastructure and construction projects. Our surveying teams have the most advanced technology and equipment at their disposal because we partner with software developers to create custom-designed systems and programs that deliver improved accuracy and enhanced agility on all our projects.

We are expanding our team and need enthusiastic surveyors to bring their skills and experience during an exciting time for the business. We employ over 90 Surveyors across Victoria, South Australia, NSW and Queensland.

We utilise the latest survey gear ranging from Total Stations, levels, GPS, machine guidance, drones, and laser scanners, and we always have innovation at the forefront of our business model.

About the role:

• Conducting set outs
• Capturing and presenting quantities and material usage data
• Undertaking feature and level surveys
• Setting GPS guided equipment for plant, and providing technical support for its use
• Conduct basic site computations

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to manage time effectively and prioritise activities
• Have a customer focused mindset
• Be an effective communicator
• Relevant qualifications in either Survey, Spatial science and/or geometrics
• Experience with Total Stations
• Experience with GPS Equipment
• Experience with Machine guidance technology
• Basic/intermediate level of survey computation

Salary range $70,000 - $90,000
