Rocky Bay Limited is seeking a Lead Support Worker in Lockridge to lead the Supported Accommodation team on shifts, ensuring high-quality person-centred care for customers with complex needs.

You will guide staff, maintain standards, and act as senior on shift when the Team Leader is offsite. The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication, and commitment to Active Support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex care needs.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and continually develop capability.
• Leadership potential to support the team in a senior capacity when required.
• Confidence with manual handling and hoist transfers.
• Proactive and accountable approach to identify and act on needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and provide direction to permanent, casual and agency staff.
• Be a trusted guide for the team and maintain high standards of practice.
• Lead by example in Active Support, customer care, documentation and conduct.
• Provide constructive feedback and escalate when needed.
• Use initiative to resolve issues with sound judgment and escalate as appropriate.
• Provide clear handovers to the Team Leader on customer, incident or staff follow-up.
• Support customers with high and complex care needs, including PEGs, catheters and medications.
• Assist with manual handling, hoist transfers and positioning.
