Siemens AG in Australia seeks a System Engineer – Senior Protection Engineer to design substation protection, control and communication schemes up to 500 kV. You will develop protection philosophies, relay settings and detailed designs, coordinating with project teams to deliver reliable energy infrastructure.

You will configure SIPROTEC 5 and Reyrolle relays, support FAT/SAT and commissioning, and ensure compliance with IEC 61850 and DNP3 standards.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience detailed design of substation protection up to 500 kV.
• Knowledge of protection principles, coordination, fault analysis and relay settings.
• Experience with SIPROTEC 5, Reyrolle or equivalent protection relays.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850 and DNP3.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed designs for substation protection, control, communications and alarms up to 500 kV.
• Develop protection philosophies, technical specifications, schematics and drawings.
• Prepare protection study reports and relay settings.
• Configure SIPROTEC 5, Reyrolle and other protection relays.
• Support project management with engineering deliverables and plans.
• Develop integrated protection, control and communication solutions.
• Lead or support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Review and approve designs from external parties.
