Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Lead Integration Engineer (Student) in the StARs domain to lead the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise-grade integration services. You will shape data architecture and integration strategy across student systems, collaborating with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and ERP integrations including PeopleSoft.

You will mentor team members, drive standards, and ensure secure, scalable student data exchange across enterprise and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Advanced experience leading delivery and operation of enterprise-scale integration services.
• Experience integrating large ERPs (PeopleSoft) with SaaS and cloud-native platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Student Information Systems and their integration standards.
• Experience designing API-based and event-driven integration architectures.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level leadership for data and integration architecture across the Sub-Domain suite.
• Govern data and integration standards aligned to UNSW enterprise architecture strategies.
• Act as senior technical authority for complex integration, performance and security issues.
• Lead design and delivery of highly complex, mission-critical integration solutions.
• Ensure integrations meet performance, scalability, availability and security requirements.
• Mentor staff and oversee documentation, roadmaps and runbooks.
