Job summary

QinetiQ Group is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Brisbane-based Structural Integrity team. You will apply fatigue and fracture mechanics, perform FEM analyses, and support risk-based decisions throughout asset lifecycles in a Defence/aerospace environment.

The role requires a tertiary engineering degree, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. Australian Defence clearance NV1 or ability to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical, aerospace or structural engineering.
• Experience in structural integrity, fatigue, fracture mechanics, damage tolerance.
• Experience with finite element analysis and structural analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret data and present clear engineering recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support ASIP and asset lifecycle through structural integrity analyses.
• Perform conditioning monitoring, usage monitoring and fatigue management.
• Conduct structural risk analyses and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team in a defence, aerospace or regulated engineering environment.
