Job summary

QinetiQ Australia is seeking a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to join our Brisbane operations. The role focuses on applying structural analysis, fatigue expertise, and damage tolerance to manage asset condition across the lifecycle.

You will support ASIP and work within a defence-oriented, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree and has hands-on experience with finite element analysis and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical, aerospace or structural engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in structural integrity, stress analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics and damage tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP).
• Apply structural analysis and fatigue expertise to assess asset condition and inform engineering decisions.
• Perform structural conditioning monitoring, usage monitoring and fatigue management.
• Conduct structural risk analysis, collect data and present findings to stakeholders.
• Establish forums to present findings and recommended actions.
