Job summary

Intrax Consulting Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead residential and low-rise projects in Western Australia. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and build strong client relationships while delivering practical engineering solutions.

You will design, review, and sign off on documentation, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the NCC. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in residential structural engineering.
• Registered, or working towards Registration in WA.
• Strong experience designing residential and low-rise structures.
• Sound knowledge of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel and timber design.
• Experience with engineering software such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass and Toolkit.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, the NCC and residential design requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a consulting environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Delivering structural designs and engineering solutions for residential and low-rise developments.
• Reviewing and approving engineering documentation and reports.
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance for engineers within the team.
• Managing relationships with builders, developers, homeowners and other stakeholders.
• Attending client meetings and site inspections as required.
• Supporting compliance, risk management and engineering best practice.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and service delivery.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
