Job summary

Intrax Consulting Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across our Queensland Housing team. You will set standards, guide complex decisions and support growth in capabilities and client relationships.

You'll lead senior technical review, mentor engineers, and collaborate with builders, certifiers and councils to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes in residential and building projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• RPEQ eligibility or registration.
• 10+ years in structural engineering, residential/building focus.
• Strong knowledge of NCC, AS 2870 and Queensland requirements.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Set and embed technical standards across the Queensland Housing team.
• Provide senior technical review and certification on complex work.
• Lead complex residential and building engineering decisions.
• Coach engineers and develop team capability.
• Maintain trusted relationships with builders, certifiers and councils.
