Job summary

Intrax Housing is seeking a Team Leader in Queensland to oversee a team of engineers across Residential Engineering and Medium Density projects. You will coach and develop engineers, manage workload and ensure delivery quality for key clients.

The role focuses on people development, performance management, and building long-term client relationships. A strong engineering background and RPEQ progression are valued, with hybrid working arrangements offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers within structural, civil or housing engineering.
• Interest in developing others and building team capability long term.
• Solid understanding of residential and building engineering delivery including NCC and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers with regular feedback and growth plans.
• Own day-to-day performance including workload planning and delivery quality.
• Run structured check-ins and 1:1s to identify development needs.
• Partner with Account Management to support client retention and pipeline growth.
• Identify and resolve performance or workload issues early, escalating when needed.
• Monitor and report team KPIs including quality, delivery and financial targets.
• Champion a positive team culture and model organisational values.
• Contribute to broader Housing team improvement initiatives.
