Job summary

Mincore is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team and support mining and mineral processing projects across gold, copper, lithium and other minerals. This hands-on role focuses on detailed design for greenfield/brownfield projects from scoping through construction support.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10+ years in mining, SPACE GASS proficiency, and familiarity with Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' structural engineering experience in mining and mineral processing projects.
• Proven hands-on detailed structural design experience is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in SPACE GASS is essential.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield mining projects, including detailed design.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards AS 1170, AS 3600, AS 4100 and AS 2159.
• Experience working in EPCM or engineering consulting environments.
• CPEng and/or Victorian Professional Engineer registration is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Design structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, equipment foundations, platforms, pipe racks and conveyor structures.
• Deliver structural designs for crushers, screens, conveyors, thickeners, tanks and associated mineral processing infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, design reports and technical documentation.
• Review structural drawings and coordinate with designers and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical support during procurement and construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team and support mining and mineral processing projects across gold, copper, lithium, rare earths and other critical minerals.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on structural engineering role requiring proven experience in detailed structural design for greenfield and brownfield mining and mineral processing projects.

You will contribute to projects across Scoping Studies, PFS, DFS, detailed design and construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed structural design, analysis and calculations using SPACE GASS.

• Design structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, equipment foundations, platforms, pipe racks and conveyor structures.
