Job summary

Wave International in Brisbane is seeking a driven Structural Engineer to support a portfolio of mining and resource projects. You will apply detailed design skills and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, compliant structures.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of structural engineering experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, and are progressing toward or hold RPEQ registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in structural engineering with detailed design focus.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles and methodologies.
• Experience executing design tasks under supervision of senior engineers.
• RPEQ or working towards registration.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural design tasks, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and refine designs.
• Provide technical support throughout the design phase, including calculations, modelling and documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety requirements and Australian Standards.
• Identify and assist in resolving design challenges and issues.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met.
