Job summary

Northrop Newcastle is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead project teams and own the technical delivery of structural projects across a range of sectors. You will manage projects from concept to construction, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients and the management team.

You'll contribute to business development, prepare proposals, and help develop the Structural section while enjoying a collaborative culture and hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in structural engineering in the Australian market.
• Engineering degree; CPEng is preferred.
• Proficient with ETABS, RAM Concept, SpaceGass and related tools.
• Experience delivering projects across residential, health, education, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of a wide range of structural projects.
• Own projects from concept to construction and delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and assist planning.
• Engage with clients, attend meetings and inspections.
• Oversee project costings and budgets.
• Support business development and proposals.
