Job summary

Arup is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Building Engineering team in Newcastle. You will contribute to a multidisciplinary, collaborative group working on commercial, residential, transport, industrial and social infrastructure projects.

You will develop design skills, apply technical analysis, and collaborate within multi-professional design teams from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in engineering and pursuing chartership via IStructE, ICE or equivalent.
• Developing understanding of engineering principles and use of technical analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating passion for structural engineering and practical understanding of buildings.
• Support the structural engineering design of projects and take responsibility for discrete work packages.
• Communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and writing.
