Job summary

Northrop Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd seeks a Senior Water and Sewer Engineer to lead delivery across built form, road infrastructure, and high-density precincts. You will own technical delivery from concept to construction, mentoring graduates and coordinating with a diverse client base in a dynamic Northrop team.

You’ll work with 12d, WaterCAD, Mike Plus and SWMM, applying hydraulic design principles and budget oversight to ensure successful project outcomes and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in water and sewer infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Proficient in industry software including 12d, WaterCAD, Mike +, SWMM.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic design principles and utility coordination.
• Experience in hydraulic assessments and modelling to inform design decisions.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and quality systems.
• Ability to review and verify technical designs for accuracy and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and own technical delivery of civil projects across built form, road infrastructure and public domain works.
• Manage client engagements and meetings; supervise graduates and undergraduates.
• Oversee project costings, budgets and scheduling to meet key deadlines.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development across the team.
• Contribute to business development and preparation of proposals.
