Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Engineer for Industrial Structures to lead structural analysis and design across steel and concrete facilities in mining and resources sectors. You will work with SpaceGass and Strand7, coordinate interfaces with civil, mechanical, piping and electrical teams, and contribute to buildable project outcomes.

The role emphasizes design accuracy, deliverables such as calculations and reports, and collaboration with drafting teams, ensuring safety and constructability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with progress toward Chartership highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience designing industrial facilities (mining/resources) including conveyors, pipe racks, platforms, tanks and brownfield upgrades.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600 and related guidelines.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design tools SpaceGass and Strand7; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural analysis and design for industrial steel and concrete structures.
• Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams to ensure buildable outcomes.
• Produce high-quality calculations, design reports, specs and sketches; support drafting teams.
• Provide constructability input and participate in reviews and risk workshops.
• Support construction with RFIs, clarifications and site input as needed.
