Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer – Energy based in Brisbane to lead structural design for energy infrastructure projects, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and delivering practical engineering solutions.

You will oversee design across substations, transmission lines, and renewables, applying advanced analysis and innovative methods to optimize constructability and performance. This role emphasizes collaboration, client relations, and mentorship within Aurecon's Energy group.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications plus significant experience delivering structural designs for energy infrastructure projects, with CPEng and RPEQ registration.
• Proven experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, with expertise in structural analysis, modelling and foundation design.
• Supportive approach to mentoring teams, sharing knowledge and helping others grow while guiding complex technical decisions.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with clients, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience leading projects and balancing technical excellence with programme, budget and delivery outcomes.
• A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and supporting the energy transition.
