Job summary

Taylor Thomson Whitting in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 4+ years' experience to join our growing team and work on landmark building projects.

You will lead design delivery, prepare analyses and specs, review junior work, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and consultants. We offer flexible working, career progression, and a collaborative national team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership with Engineers Australia; CPEng and/or NER accreditation is highly regarded.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SPACE GASS, RAM Structural System and RAPT.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and delivery for diverse building projects.
• Prepare analyses, calculations, technical reports, specs, and design docs.
• Review calculations and drawings by junior engineers and drafters.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Prepare technical submissions and project deliverables.
• Support construction activities with RFIs, shop drawings, site inspections.
• Apply engineering principles to develop practical, economical solutions.
