Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater/Civil Engineer to contribute technical leadership with autonomy. The role involves advising operations, acting as an Asset Custodian Representative for stormwater assets, and guiding forward planning investigations.

Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, RPEQ accreditation, and extensive stormwater design experience, with knowledge of LGIP processes and related software tools. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• RPEQ accreditation is required or strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience in stormwater design / surface water engineering.
• Experience with ArcGIS, TUFLOW, MUSIC, AutoCAD, 12d or URBS desirable.
• Current Australian C Class unrestricted Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to operations and maintenance teams as an Asset Custodian Representative.
• Advance forward planning investigations for the City’s stormwater network.
• Coordinate the LGIP components and contribute to asset management planning.
• Prepare technical notes, briefing notes and council reports as required.
• Support collaboration with other disciplines to improve project outcomes.
