The City of Gold Coast is seeking motivated Civil Engineers to join the Engineering and Landscape Assessment team. You’ll perform assessments across civil design, flooding, roads, water, and other utilities, delivering expert technical advice and supporting development outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience in civil design or assessment preferred.
• Experience in local government or consulting environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake engineering assessments across civil disciplines.
• Deliver practical, standards-aligned technical advice.
• Prepare technical memorandums and recommendations for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, planners, external applicants and consultants.
• Participate in pre-lodgement meetings, site inspections and technical discussions.
• Mentor and share knowledge to support a positive team culture.
• Support Graduates and Student Engineers with guidance.
