Job summary

Coles Group is seeking an exceptional Head of Store Operations to lead a significant portfolio within our store network, accountable for about 10,000 team members and a regional leadership team. You will translate strategy into execution and set conditions for outstanding customer and commercial outcomes.

Your remit includes owning performance across stores, coaching senior leaders, and driving change while aligning commercial, customer, and digital priorities.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen with meaningful P&L, sales and performance accountability.
• Experience influencing at an enterprise level and leading through other senior leaders.
• Career breadth across commercial, transformation, customer, digital/ecommerce, strategy or central functions.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial and operational performance across a significant store portfolio, including sales, cost and P&L outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of senior operational leaders.
• Create a strong performance and accountability culture focused on customers and team.
• Lead through significant change and translate enterprise transformation into outcomes across stores.
• Connect stores with broader Coles priorities across commercial, customer, digital and operations.
• Use data and customer insight to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
• Build leadership capability and succession for future senior roles.
• Contribute across Coles as a senior leader.
