Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a seasoned field engineer to deliver maintenance and professional services across customer sites in Australia. You will manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of storage, SAN/Fibre, and server solutions while supporting Hitachi Vantara sales teams nationwide.

The role requires strong hardware knowledge, 24/7 availability, and proven teamwork in a dynamic, customer-facing service environment.

Qualifications

Sound technical and hardware knowledge of SAN/Fibre/Storage and Server products and solutions, specifically Hitachi Content Platform.
Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and VMware is desirable.
Experience in a customer facing role with professional service delivery.
Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Provide timely post-sales support to customers per support agreements.
Perform preventative maintenance and target to maintain RGA levels of microcode.
Provide problem management and escalation with GSC and FSEs.
Install and implement new solutions and upgrade existing platforms.
Deliver service engineering and site relocation services.
Meet operational KPIs for CS&S and provide 24/7 on-call support.
