Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Australia is seeking an experienced hardware field engineer to join the Services team. You will provide maintenance, installation, and remediation services for Hitachi data solutions, including on-site management and post-sales support across Australia.

The role requires strong knowledge of SAN/Fibre/Storage, Windows/Linux/VMware, and a customer-focused approach. You will work in a dynamic team, sometimes after-hours, to ensure high availability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least seven years as a hardware field engineer in data solution support.
• Experience with Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) preferred.
• Ability to install, configure and support hardware and software products.
• Able to work on-call and after hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-sales hardware and software support to customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and firmware updates.
• Install and implement new solutions and upgrades.
• Deliver on-site service and site relocations.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support on rostered basis.
• Report opportunities or threats to Sales.
