Job summary

The NSW Police Force is seeking a Senior Storage and Backup Engineer to join the Technology and Communication Services Command. You will provide ongoing support for the organisation's storage and backup systems to ensure security and availability aligned with business needs.

The role involves working on an enterprise storage and backup environment across IBM, Pure Storage, Netapp, HP and Dell, with travel to regional sites and a 2-day-per-week work-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux administration Redhat 8 or above.
• Experience with IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS).
• Experience with backup technologies IBM Spectrum Scale (TSM) and Veeam.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support of Storage and Backup Systems to ensure secure access and availability.
• Manage enterprise storage environments across multiple platforms (IBM, Pure Storage, Netapp, HP, Dell).
• Travel to regional sites and support hybrid work model including work-from-home days.

About the role

We have an opportunity for aSenior Storage and Backup Engineerto be part of our Technology and Communication Services Command team. The Senior Storage and Backup Engineer is responsible for providing ongoing support of the organisation's Storage and Backup Systems to ensure secure access and availability in accordance with the needs of the business.

Opportunity to work on a large Enterprise Storage & Backup environment consisting of varied storage infrastructure consisting of IBM, Pure Storage, Netapp, HP and Dell.

Opportunity to travel to regional sites to manage remote offices

Work From Home – 2x days per week.

Highly desirable
