Qualifications

• Experience handling distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation in large-scale cloud environments.
• Practical knowledge of OpenTelemetry standards and vendor-agnostic instrumentation approaches.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and performance under high load.
• Interest in AI tools and automated data modeling for observability.

Responsibilities

• Design standardized data pipelines and telemetry architectures supporting intelligent development workflows.
• Implement OpenTelemetry standards and vendor-agnostic instrumentation across distributed applications and cloud environments.
• Develop and improve observability capabilities for tracing, metrics collection, and log aggregation.
• Drive platform efficiency and cloud cost optimization by monitoring infrastructure performance.
• Design automated alerting systems and reliability scorecards to aid incident response.
• Establish consistent observability and reliability standards across product teams.
• Investigate complex distributed system behavior and identify performance bottlenecks under high workloads.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and product teams to share expertise and raise reliability standards.
