Job summary

Commonwealth Bank of Australia seeks an experienced SRE leader to guide a medium-sized team of engineers in Sydney. You will drive reliability, performance and scalable software delivery across our award-winning banking apps, applying SRE principles to observability and incident response.

You’ll mentor engineers, improve SLIs/SLOs, promote a positive engineering culture, and solve complex technical challenges at scale, contributing to Australia’s largest digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRE philosophy, principles and practices - creating/reviewing SLI, SLO and SLA's.
• Proven leadership to engineers and talent development.
• Experience designing, developing, testing and supporting applications and systems.
• Solid background in system and application performance testing, programming and monitoring performance and network communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a medium-sized team of Engineers with goal setting, performance, development and engagement.
• Advocate embedding a positive engineering culture, ensuring standards and technical quality.
