Job summary

Early Start Australia is seeking a qualified Speech Pathologist to join our Toowoomba clinic on a temporary part-time basis. You will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions across clinic, home, school, and community settings, guiding families and collaborating with other health professionals.

You will manage complex caseloads, develop tailored plans, and contribute to program development while upholding privacy and quality standards. AHPRA and SPA registrations are required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience delivering high quality evidence-based and goal-focused therapeutic intervention in an early intervention and/ or paediatric allied health setting.
  • Understanding and supporting the principles of individualised services including the ability to adapt services to meet individual needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of children and families and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated senior clinical knowledge with significant experience in relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, supervising and/or supporting others of the same discipline (including supervision of graduates and/ or allied health students)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and complete assessments appropriate for each client.
  • Manage a discipline-specific caseload, including complex clients, using a case management approach.
  • Contribute to the selection and maintenance of assessment and therapy resources.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust tailored therapy programs aligned to client goals.
  • Deliver services across clinic, home, school, and community settings as required.
  • Collaborate with allied health team members to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver specialised programs such as group therapy and parent workshops.
  • Maintain strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Ensure practice remains aligned with current best practice and contribute to continuous service improvement.
