Job summary

St John of God Berwick Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist Grade 2 to join our Allied Health team on a permanent part-time basis (0.6 FTE). You will provide senior-level assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Full membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Significant senior clinical experience in healthcare.
• Ability to lead, supervise and mentor staff.
• Strong communication in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level assessment and management of patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment programs.
• Provide clinical consultation within the Speech Pathology discipline.
• Participate in ward rounds, case conferences and family meetings.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including treatment plans and patient progress.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement and service development activities.
