Job summary

Hunter Street Hospitality is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their relaunch team in a premium dining environment. You will support the executive chef, design menus, and manage staff to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a premium or fine dining restaurant.
• Strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• A passion for training and developing talented culinary individuals who will be the future leaders within the business.
• Skills in fostering honesty and transparency, with the ability to provide timely updates.
• Knowledge of Food Safety standards and WHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support executive chef in the management and strategy for the kitchen
• Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu design
• Assist executive chef with people management, training and development
• Work with Executive Chef on weekly ordering and rosters
• Lead and manage your designated section, ensuring the consistent delivery of premium quality dishes
• Execute dishes with precision, maintaining exceptional quality, presentation, and portion control during service
• Fostering efficiency, communication, and professional growth.
• Implement and manage strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards while ensuring a clean, organised, and high-performing workstation
