Job summary

Checkout.com is hiring a founding Solutions Engineer in Sydney to guide clients through integration and go-live of our payments platform. You will lead technical conversations, demos, and solution designs while collaborating with Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years in a technical client-facing role, strong API/SDK experience, and a passion for payments. This is a hybrid role with in-office days in Sydney and global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a technical client-facing role.
• Able to translate technical jargon for business stakeholders.
• Proactive with a strong commercial focus.
• Excellent to communicate across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial team to position Checkout.com's products and services, helping to win deals.
• Understand merchant requirements and map them to APIs and products; create solution designs and documentation.
• Run demos, build payment flows, create POCs, and deliver presentations.
• Provide thought leadership on Payment Performance, Fraud Prevention, Tokenisation, and payment methods.
• Lead all technical interactions with merchants from chats to workshops until the deal is won.
• Be a product champion for ANZ leads and coordinate with central product teams.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and market feedback to inform product roadmaps.
• Enable internal teams with merchant feedback and champion product changes.
