Checkout.com seeks a founding Solutions Engineer in Sydney to provide technical leadership throughout the sales lifecycle, from initial contact to go-live. You’ll collaborate with Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to position Checkout.com capabilities for prospects and clients.

The ideal candidate is independent, high-achieving, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong commercial focus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in Sales Engineering / Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales / Implementation role or TAM.
• Experience in a technical client-facing function with a commercial focus.
• Able to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders and drive deals.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial team to position Checkout.com's products and services, helping win deals.
• Understand merchant requirements and map to APIs, creating solution designs and docs.
• Run demos, build proof-of-concept flows, customize presentations for prospects.
• Provide guidance on Payment Performance, Fraud Prevention, Tokenisation, Payment Methods.
• Lead all technical interactions with merchants from chats to workshops until close.
