Job summary

Starburst is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to partner with field sales and own the technical aspects of the sales cycle. You will deliver demonstrations, technical workshops, and proofs of value while guiding customers through migration from legacy platforms.

You will be Starburst’s expert on architecture, deployment, and design discussions, collaborating with Engineering and Support to ensure customer success. Based in Australia with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ANSI SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux CLI and cloud deployments.
• Exposure to big data technologies and distributed storage systems.
• Proven customer-facing experience in technical roles and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle and collaborate with sales to drive projects to closure.
• Demonstrate Starburst capabilities through demos and workshops; present technical solutions to customers.
• Define success criteria, shape evaluation requirements, and lead proofs of concept.
• Serve as the technical advisor on architecture, deployment, and design discussions.
• Travel up to 25% for customer engagements, onboarding, and events.
