Job summary

Snowflake in Canberra is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to drive growth and technical strategy within the Australian Federal Public Sector. You will work closely with sales and partners to win complex deals, translate customer needs into Snowflake capabilities, and lead PoCs and technical demos in a hands-on, customer-facing role.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in tech, 5+ years in pre-sales, strong data-architecture skills, and active Australian government clearance.

Qualifications

10+ years in technical industry with at least 5 years in pre-sales/solution engineering.
Active Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 or ability to obtain.
Based in Canberra with in-person office presence.
Translate complex business needs into scalable data architectures.
Strong presentation and storytelling for technical and executive audiences.
Experience with enterprise DB, Data Warehouse, ETL, analytics and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales to win complex deals.
Identify and develop technical and executive champions within Federal Public Sector accounts.
Translate customer needs into Snowflake capabilities.
Deliver technical value through demos and PoCs and design.
Present Snowflake’s technology, roadmap, and vision to senior stakeholders.
Stay ahead of the market by immersing in AI/data landscape.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to refine offerings.
