Job summary

The University of Newcastle is seeking a Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable IT solutions aligned with enterprise strategy. You will lead cloud, integration, cybersecurity, and data services initiatives across the university.

Based at Callaghan, this full-time HEW 8 role involves engaging with senior stakeholders, guiding DevOps and Delivery teams, and shaping IT governance and security standards to support academic and research objectives.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect with enterprise integration expertise.
Proven ability to align IT strategy with business needs and enterprise systems.
Strong knowledge of integration patterns: API-led, event-driven, data synchronization.
Experience with cloud computing and cybersecurity.
Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, secure IT solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
Lead architecture and integration of cloud infrastructure, software, cybersecurity.
Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Delivery teams for seamless implementation.
