Southern Cross University is building a future-ready technology organisation to empower teaching, research and community impact. We seek a senior Solution Architect to lead enterprise-wide designs across multiple platforms and domains, aligning with the university's architecture vision.

You will collaborate with teams, establish standards, and mentor colleagues to deliver scalable, secure solutions that drive real-world impact for students, staff and partners.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years in technical roles with at least 5 years in solution architecture.
• Proven experience in designing and integrating enterprise platforms including TechnologyOne, Dynamics 365, Blackboard, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong understanding of solution design patterns, architectural frameworks, and integration practices.
• Demonstrate ability to lead large scale architecture initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, translating business needs into technical strategy.
• A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering real world impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex, enterprise-wide solutions spanning multiple systems and domains.
• Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Establish and promote architectural standards and frameworks ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor and develop teams in best practices for solution design, technology selection and implementation.
• Contribute to the university technology roadmap with emerging technologies and long-term strategic planning.
