Job summary

Medibank is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to shape and deliver technology solutions that align with enterprise strategy. You will lead solution planning across the Performance, Architecture & Innovation team, guiding design, governance and delivery for large-scale programs.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and delivery teams to turn business goals into practical, high-quality architectures, in a complex enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution architecture for complex enterprises.
• Develop pragmatic architecture strategies, roadmaps and recommendations.
• Experience with TOGAF and SAFe governance.
• History delivering large-scale, multi-system solutions in Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Tertiary IT qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of solution architectures that align with business goals and strategic technology direction.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, define solution visions and deliver business-focused architecture outcomes.
• Drive alignment between solution, enterprise and platform architecture to ensure an integrated technology landscape.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance practices and reusable architectural assets.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support planning, design and delivery activities.
• Evaluate technology solutions, support vendor selection activities and recommend architecture options.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and architectural best practice across programs and teams.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes across Medibank. Working within the Performance, Architecture & Innovation (PAI) team, you will lead solution planning and architecture activities, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable, secure and innovative solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity,to influence strategic technology decisions, contribute to major transformation initiatives, and drive the evolution of architecture practices within a complex enterprise environment. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, architects, delivery teams and technology partners to turn business goals into practical, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Must haves:

• 10+ years' experience delivering solution architecture in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to develop pragmatic architecture strategies, roadmaps and recommendations that enable successful delivery outcomes.
• Strong experience with architecture frameworks, governance practices and methodologies such as TOGAF and SAFe.
• Demonstrated success designing and delivering large-scale, multi-system solutions across Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts simply.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
