Medibank is seeking a Lead Architect - AI in Melbourne to define the enterprise AI architectural direction, balancing governance, security and risk with business outcomes. You will shape AI capabilities across platforms, drive roadmaps and guide teams in scalable, trusted AI solutions.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into practical AI implementations, focusing on responsible adoption and robust architectures that support Medibank's goals.

Competenze

• Have extensive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or technology strategy within a complex organisation.
• Can confidently design and communicate AI, data, automation, or digital platform architectures that align with business outcomes.
• Understand modern AI concepts including generative AI, machine learning, large language models, and AI agents.
• Have experience designing secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based technology solutions.
• Are skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Can facilitate workshops, navigate complex challenges, and turn strategy into practical, actionable outcomes.
• Have an understanding of responsible AI practices, including governance, privacy, transparency, risk management, and human oversight.
• Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to the growth of architecture capability across an organisation.

Summary

As the Lead Architect - AI, you'll play a critical role in shaping Medibank's AI future. You'll influence enterprise strategy, guide the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, and help teams deliver scalable, secure and trusted AI solutions. This is an opportunity to work with senior leaders across the business and technology functions while driving innovation that improves customer, employee and operational outcomes.
