Job summary

Betashares Capital is seeking a senior software engineer to deliver priority changes across a stack of Rust, Go, TypeScript, microservices and Temporal, running on Kubernetes and AWS.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to clarify expected behaviour, deliver focused changes and communicate trade-offs, verification limits, and risk clearly. Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes / AWS - Hands-on deployment and troubleshooting of containerised services.
• Rust / Go / TypeScript - Production skills in at least one language, cross-language work.
• DevSecOps / CI/CD - Secure delivery, pipelines, automated checks and releases.
• Distributed systems - Experience with microservices and asynchronous processing.
• Debugging and observability - Diagnose cross-service issues using logs and metrics.
• Testing and refactoring - Add focused verification and incremental improvements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver priority changes across services and languages.
• Investigate defects across service boundaries and asynchronous workflows.
• Clarify expected behaviour and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Add focused tests, instrumentation and small refactors to verify changes.
• Work within Kubernetes, AWS and CI/CD environments to support secure releases.
• Keep changes reviewable and communicate progress, dependencies, technical trade-offs and verification gaps clearly to stakeholders.
