Job summary

Betashares is seeking a senior-to-staff software engineer to deliver priority changes across a Rust, Go, and TypeScript stack running on Kubernetes and AWS, in a microservices architecture with Temporal. You will engage with technical and business stakeholders, delivering focused changes with clear trade-offs and verification limits.

The role requires three years minimum contributing to complex tech systems, strong debugging, and a proven record of independent delivery and improving testability,

Qualifications

• Kubernetes and AWS deployment and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Rust, Go or TypeScript in production.
• Experience with secure delivery and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong debugging and observability using logs, metrics and traces.
• Ability to add tests and incremental refactoring to improve code quality.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver priority changes across services and languages.
• Investigate defects across service boundaries and asynchronous workflows.
• Clarify expected behaviour and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Add focused tests, instrumentation and small refactors to verify changes and reduce delivery risk.
• Work within Kubernetes, AWS and CI/CD environments to support secure, repeatable releases.
• Keep progress, dependencies and trade-offs clearly communicated to stakeholders.
