Job summary

JPMorganChase in Australia is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Corporate and Investment Banking - Securities Services Technology to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products.

You will be a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for critical technology solutions across multiple domains, ensuring secure, scalable software and robust operational stability for the firm's objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
3+ years of software engineering experience required.
Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficient in coding in Java/J2EE and related languages.
Experience in large corporate environments with modern programming languages and database querying.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong understanding of Agile practices including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
Experience with cloud/AI/ML related tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or solve problems.
Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by software development.
Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
Identifies hidden problems and data patterns to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
Contributes to engineering communities of practice and explores new and emerging technologies.
