AUSCERT invites applications for a Senior Software Developer to deliver high-level software development and technical leadership for cybersecurity systems. You will design, deploy, and maintain IT architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve security platforms.

The role emphasizes cloud-based delivery, modern frameworks, and mentoring colleagues. The successful candidate will have a IT degree and hands-on experience with Python (Django/NiceGUI), databases, JavaScript

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting complex software applications and systems.
• Strong Python development skills with frameworks such as Django or NiceGUI.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB).
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Hands-on experience deploying solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile delivery, and Git.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Leading the design and development of significant software projects and providing technical expertise across software architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
• Investigating, evaluating, and recommending emerging technologies and processes for continuous improvement.
• Building partnerships with clients and stakeholders while collaborating with developers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
