Job summary

Spotlight Group Holdings is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Engineering to build scalable, cloud-native solutions across our multi-brand digital ecosystem in a fast-paced hybrid setting at our South Melbourne office.

You’ll work on full-stack features with Next.js/React, NestJS/Node.js and Java/Spring Boot, delivering high-availability, secure systems for an e-commerce environment. This role emphasizes design, testing, CI/CD, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in software engineering delivering large-scale digital platforms.
• Strong frontend with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Redux, Tailwind CSS, SSR/SSG, and web performance.
• Backend expertise in Java, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS.
• Experience in e‑commerce and headless CMS or commerce tools is highly desirable.
• Agile and adaptable in a high-availability retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Build maintainable, cloud-native AWS features using sound design principles.
• Deliver full-stack features across Next.js/React, NestJS/Node.js, and Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and consume event-driven components and APIs (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Maintain code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and clear technical documentation.
• Leverage AI agents and coding assistants to accelerate debugging, refactoring, and delivery.

What We’re Looking For
