Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive embedded and safety-critical software across our maritime and autonomous platforms. You will own vehicle management, real-time subsystems, and sensor interfaces, delivering end-to-end architecture and evolution for next-generation systems.

The role requires strong C/C++/Rust, RTOS experience, and the ability to mentor teammates while engaging with end users. Up to 20% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in C, C++, or Rust with low-level programming experience.
• Experience with an RTOS.
• Knowledge of CAN/CANFD, UART, SPI, I2C, UDP/TCP/Ethernet protocols.
• Ability to own a software component from requirements to evolution.
• Eligible for Australian Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement trusted, safety critical Vehicle Management Systems.
• Design scalable vehicle sub-systems including sensor processing and state estimation.
• Contribute to reusable software components across Anduril product lines.
• Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
• Develop device drivers and interfaces to sensors and actuators.
• Create test and simulation fixtures for software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor Software Engineers from differing backgrounds.
• Travel to co-locate with end-users and teams up to 20% of the time.
