Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking developers who can adapt quickly to CRM-focused work and leverage agentic technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and the Power Platform, to enhance productivity and outcomes.

The role covers end-to-end delivery, guiding tooling, validating AI outputs, and improving flow and practices while ensuring quality, security and compliance across artefacts.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in typed languages (C# and/or TS) with domain modelling, generics and type-safe APIs.
• Strong backend and data fundamentals: RESTful APIs, SQL performance, normalisation, NoSQL caching.
• Expert debugging for complex service issues and production incidents.
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Dataverse entities, security models and integrations.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has predominantly worked on the CRM side and demonstrates a strong interest in utilizing agentic technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and the Power Platform, to enhance productivity, automation, and business outcomes.

• Advanced proficiency and strict discipline in typed languages (C# and/or TypeScript) using intentional domain modelling, generics, and type-safe APIs.
• Understanding of backend and data fundamentals, including RESTful API design, SQL performance, normalisation, and NoSQL caching patterns.
• Expert debugging skills for resolving complex service issues, integration problems, and production incidents.
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Dataverse entities, solutions, security models, and integration surfaces.
• Experience with reliability engineering through retries, duplicate-request prevention, and OAuth2/OIDC authentication patterns.
• Operational competency in structured logging, monitoring, and proactive error handling to ensure system health.
• Commitment to quality and delivery discipline via automated testing, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Capacity for autonomous task ownership, stakeholder alignment, and professional cross-team conflict resolution.
• Pragmatic judgment regarding technical trade-offs, prioritisation, and balancing quality with delivery constraints.
• High learning agility and the ability to maintain accurate, clear communication during time-critical triage or release discussions.
• Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or extensive professional software engineering experience.
• Desirable - Dynamics 365 specialisation in platform extensibility including plugins, workflows, and customizations
• Desirable – Experience working with Code Power Apps.
• Desirable - Active public GitHub presence involving pull requests, documentation, or maintenance activity.
• Desirable - Cloud ecosystem awareness regarding hosting, identity, queues, and observability tooling.
