Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking engineers to own end-to-end solutions for its investment platform. You will influence architecture, apply AI practices, and mentor team members across engineering, product, and risk functions.

The role emphasizes scalable architectures, cloud-native delivery, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to deliver resilient software for advisers and clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building Java-based cloud applications using Spring Boot or a similar modern technology stack.
• Strong understanding of resilient, scalable software systems including microservices architecture.
• Experience applying AI throughout the software development lifecycle and contributing tools or knowledge to improve outcomes.
• Proficiency with containers, cloud platforms, APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of solutions from design to testing and production support.
• Shape the future of the platform with architectural input and AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, risk and architecture.

What role will you play?

In this role you will take end-to-end ownership of the solutions you build, from design and development through to testing and production support. You will help shape the future of the platform, make architectural decisions, contribute to AI-enabled engineering practices and mentor engineers across the team. You will work closely with engineering, product, support, architecture and risk teams to deliver resilient and customer-focused solutions.
