etrainu is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Brisbane to lead design and implementation of complex, scalable systems within a product engineering team. You will mentor engineers, drive projects end-to-end, and set high standards for code quality and design.

You will design architectures, translate business problems into technical plans, and contribute to DevOps, security and testing practices while delivering impactful features for a growing B2B SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing RESTful microservices using serverless and containerised cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with relational and No-SQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Strong DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical use of AI-enabled engineering practices with emphasis on quality and safety.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and delivering complex projects.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or customer-facing product environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead solution design for medium-to-large features, framing problems and driving them through reviews.
• Architect projects within the team scope, considering scalability, security, performance and cost.
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans and make informed decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold high review standards.
• Own features and systems from concept to production, including monitoring and incident response.
• Improve engineering practices across CI/CD, automation, security and testing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and shape team standards and culture.
