Job summary

Cognizant in Australia is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and support scalable cloud data solutions on Snowflake. You will lead ingestion, transformation, and governance with Snowpipe-based pipelines and secure data sharing.

Collaborate with architects, analysts, and product owners to deliver reliable, cost-effective data products. Strong SQL, Python, and data modeling skills are essential, along with RBAC and security practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years in data engineering with Snowflake.
• Strong Snowflake architecture, warehouses, microloves, and data sharing.
• Advanced SQL skills, profiling, and data quality validation.
• Hands-on Snowpipe/Snowpipe Streaming for automated ingestion.
• Python and Snowpark for data processing and framework development.

Responsibilities

• Own data solution delivery from requirements through deployment.
• Balance delivery speed with security, quality, scalability.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to teams and stakeholders.
• Work independently within cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
• Stay current with Snowflake platform enhancements and practices.
