Job summary

Horizon Nexus Partners is seeking an experienced SMSF Manager to lead the Specialist team in Australia. You will own client relationships, oversee technical delivery, and guide junior staff while ensuring compliance with SIS Act and accounting standards.

You will mentor team members, review complex fund matters, and help shape the SMSF function's growth while partnering with Partners and Directors on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in SMSF accounting and compliance with complex funds.
• Proven experience leading, coaching or mentoring a team.
• Deep knowledge of SMSF legislation, SIS Act and tax as it applies to SMSFs.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships for a portfolio of SMSF clients, advisers and partners.
• Oversee delivery of SMSF statements, returns, pension calculations and member transactions.
• Sign off on deliverables and provide practical guidance on governance and compliance.
• Coach and develop the SMSF accounting team and manage workflow capacity.
