Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an experienced Production Infrastructure Engineer to own and optimize the production trading environment. You will monitor large-scale systems, implement DevOps tooling, and drive reliability across the trading platform.

You will collaborate with traders, risk management, and operations teams to coordinate changes, manage incidents, and continuously improve performance. A strong Linux/Networking background and 5+ years in IT ops are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of IT operations experience (DevOps, SRE, Linux systems engineering, or networking).
• 3+ years of Python and shell scripting experience.
• Familiarity with C++ is helpful but not required.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge and hands-on operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the production environment, driving performance, reliability, and operability through continuous improvement.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot large-scale trading systems and exchange connectivity.
• Build and maintain the DevOps toolkit for the production trading system (config mgmt, deployment, monitoring, data collection).
• Collaborate with risk management and operations teams to coordinate changes and manage incidents.
• Interact with traders to communicate technology changes and troubleshoot problems.
• Define and document processes and procedures and provide mentorship to other SREs.
