Job summary

ADM is seeking a Senior Electrical Instrumentation SIS Engineer to provide technical leadership for Safety Instrumented Systems across North America. The role focuses on design, maintenance, testing, and lifecycle management to achieve risk reduction while keeping high availability.

You will oversee SIS documentation, safety analyses, and integration with DCS/PLC, with frequent collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and IT to ensure cybersecurity and change control aligned with IEC

Qualifications

• Experience leading functional safety lifecycle activities (SRS, SIL verification, proof tests).
• Hands-on knowledge of SIS platforms and architectures and integration with DCS/PLC.
• Experience supporting capital projects and commissioning/validation.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the SIS Functional Safety Management System across sites.
• Lead hazard and risk studies and set SIL targets for SIFs.
• Develop SIS Safety Requirements Specifications and related documentation.
• Perform SIL verification calculations and document assumptions and test coverage.
• Coordinate Functional Safety Assessments/Audits and track findings to closure.
• Maintain safety competence and training for engineers and contractors.
