Job summary

Alliance Automation is seeking a Senior Control Systems & Safety Engineer to design, implement and commission advanced control solutions across heavy industry. You’ll work directly with clients to capture requirements, develop practical scopes of work and deliver safe, compliant systems.

You’ll apply functional safety principles, conduct hazard analyses, and oversee SIL verification while owning technical outcomes and mentoring the team. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ control systems engineering experience in heavy industry or complex environments.
• Hands-on design, programming and commissioning of industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of automation platforms and industrial networks.
• Experience applying functional and/or machine safety principles in engineering design and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and commission advanced control system solutions across complex industrial environments.
• Understand operational challenges, define requirements and develop clear, practical scopes of work.
• Apply functional and machine safety principles throughout the project lifecycle, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety lifecycle activities and SIL verification.
• Take responsibility for technical deliverables, ensuring they meet quality, safety and performance standards.
• Solve complex engineering challenges and share knowledge with the wider team.
